Offshore International, Incorporated, doing business as Tetakawi (“Tetakawi,” “we,” “us” or “our”), operates tetakawi.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, how we use it, who receives it, and the choices you have.

This policy covers our website, the forms, videos, podcasts and tools on it, and the marketing email we send. It does not cover our client agreements, job applications made through our careers platform, or other websites we link to. Those have their own terms and notices.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you contact us, request a consultation or download a resource, we collect:

  • Your name, email address and phone number
  • Your job title and company
  • Anything you write in your message
  • Your choice about receiving marketing email

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we and our partners collect technical information through cookies and similar tools. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page or ad that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. It also includes how you interact with our pages, videos and emails.

When you submit a form, we connect your earlier visits on our website to your contact record.

Information from other sources

We use business data providers to add to the information we hold. For example, we may identify the company associated with an IP address. We may also add details such as your role, your company’s industry and its size. We also use information that is publicly available, such as company websites and professional profiles.

We do not ask for sensitive personal information, such as government identification numbers, financial account details or precise location. Please do not send it through our forms.

2. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, pixels and similar tools in four groups:

  • Necessary: run and secure the website, keep forms working and prevent spam. These are always on.
  • Functional: remember your settings, such as where you left off in a video.
  • Analytics: show us how visitors use our website and which companies visit, so we can improve our content and follow up.
  • Advertising: show you our ads on other websites and measure how those ads perform.

The partners that place these tools include:

  • HubSpot: forms, email, website analytics and our customer relationship management system
  • Google: Google Ads and Google Analytics
  • LinkedIn: the LinkedIn Insight Tag, for advertising and measurement
  • Meta: the Meta Pixel, for advertising and measurement on Facebook and Instagram
  • BugHerd: collects feedback about our website, together with its error-monitoring provider Bugsnag
  • Clay: identifies the companies that visit our website and adds business information to our records
  • RB2B: identifies business visitors to our website so our sales team can follow up

Our video player, podcast player and payroll cost calculator are also provided by partners and may set their own cookies.

When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or reject analytics and advertising cookies. They do not run until you accept. You can change your choice at any time through the “Cookie Settings” link at the bottom of every page.

3. How We Use Information

  • To respond to your request and follow up about our services
  • To send you the resources you ask for
  • To send you marketing email, if you agreed to receive it
  • To understand which companies are interested in our services
  • To show you relevant ads and measure how they perform
  • To understand how our website and content perform, and to improve them
  • To keep our website secure and prevent fraud and spam
  • To comply with the law and protect our legal rights

4. Who Receives Your Information

We do not sell personal information for money. We disclose it only to:

  • Service providers that work for us. These include website hosting, our customer relationship management system, email delivery, business data providers, video and podcast players, our payroll cost calculator, web fonts and security tools. They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
  • Advertising partners, such as LinkedIn, Google and Meta, when advertising cookies are active. They receive information about your visits so we can show you ads and measure results. We may also give them contact information in a scrambled (hashed) form, so our ads reach the right business contacts. These partners use information under their own privacy policies.
  • Authorities or other parties when the law requires it, or when needed to protect rights, safety or property.
  • A buyer or successor if Tetakawi is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

5. Your Choices

  • Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you are visiting from the EU, EEA or UK, our cookie banner lets you accept or reject analytics and advertising cookies. From other regions, email us at [email protected] and we will action your request.
  • Global Privacy Control: if you are visiting from the EU, EEA or UK and your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of advertising cookies and of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not currently respond to this signal from other regions; if you are outside those countries, please use the email method described below.
  • Marketing email: every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email [email protected].
  • Ad settings: you can manage how LinkedIn, Google and Meta show you ads in your account settings with each company.
  • Do Not Track: our website does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because there is no common standard for them. We honor Global Privacy Control for visitors in the EU, EEA and UK.

6. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. For inquiries and marketing contacts, that is generally while we have an active business relationship or you remain subscribed, plus a reasonable period afterward. We keep information longer when the law requires it or to resolve disputes. Technical information is kept for shorter periods, unless we need it for security.

7. How We Protect Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No website or internet transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your US State Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you rights over your personal information. These rights include information about you as a business contact. If you live in another US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have comparable rights, and we handle your request the same way.

What we collected in the last 12 months

  • Identifiers: name, email address, phone number, IP address and cookie identifiers. Sources: you, your device and business data providers.

We use this information for the purposes in Section 3. We disclose all of these categories to service providers. When you accept advertising cookies, we disclose identifiers and internet activity to advertising partners. California law may treat this as “selling” or “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. We do not collect sensitive personal information.

9. Visitors Outside the United States

We are based in the United States. Information you submit is processed in the United States and in other countries where our partners operate. Privacy laws there may differ from those where you live.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we process your information on these grounds:

  • Your consent, such as for analytics and advertising cookies and marketing email

  • Steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract
  • Our legal obligations

You may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or transfer your information. You may also object to processing or withdraw your consent at any time. To do so, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
